Avum, Inc. and Pencom Software Technologies Partner to Build ERP System for Canon Computer Systems, Inc.

LOS ANGELES, CA, January 11, 1994 -- Avum, Inc., a leading provider of global enterprise solutions, today announced its partnership with technology consulting firm Pencom Software Technologies to provide a NeXTSTEP Technology based ERP system for Canon Computer Systems, Inc, a billion dollar division of Canon, USA, Inc. The custom order and vendor management ERP system will integrate existing EDI, WMS and financials to supply Canon Computer Systems, Inc. with the flexibility and expandability to compete in an ever-changing business environment.

The two year phased project will include a complete, custom rewrite of Canon USA, Inc.'s legacy ERP system for the Canon Computer Systems, Inc. division, based in Costa Mesa, California. Avum, Inc. will leverage its Application Integration Server Release 1 for all order, vendor, EDI, financial and WMS integration points, allowing seamless integration with best of breed products, including People Soft Financials and CAMBAR Warehouse Management.
