The accompanying diagram (click image to enlarge) illustrates a sample architecture implemented with the help of Avum engineers. Our engineers lead the effort to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and enhance all applications, components and integration processes for the system depicted. The new corporate ERP system provided Order Management, Procurement and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with business partners, as well as integration with pre-existing applications, such as the Oracle financial system and supply chain. The new system allowed our client the ability to overcome competitors in the race to reduce supply chain cycle time and costs, while providing maximum flexibility to accommodate the rapidly growing company.

Business Process Reengineering

Our Navy ERP efforts provided significant improvement in efficiency and decreased cost for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Washington, D.C., in the Mechanization of Contract Administrative Service (MOCAS) integration efforts. Our reengineering efforts enabled the Navy to implement auto-population of MOCAS, significantly exceeding their expectations and saving approximately $8 million annually in Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) payment fees, a savings many times greater than the cost of our contract.

We have been the major contributors to the success of Canon's Enterprise Information Systems and are the driving force behind the development and maintenance of Canon's Consumer Products marketing website. Avum automated Canon's Program & Promotion Management System through customized web-applications and integration processes, revealing $600 million in program details. This revelation enabled Canon executives to make more informed business decisions maximizing return on investment for all promotional expenditures, and saving Canon millions of dollars.
