Organic Farm Management System & Online-Trading Platform

The Problem

AVUM was approached by YFARM.COM, LLC to create the first all-organic farm management system and online-trading platform.  The management system would enable users to manage all aspects of their agribusiness from seed to sale, and include detailed reports and analysis of their products. YFARM.COM also desired an online marketplace which would enable farmers to interact with buyers and sellers all over the world.

The AVUM Solution

YFARM.COM was introduced at the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) conference, in October 2000.  The online trading platform received numerous acclaims for its ability to support wireless negotiations using Wireless Application Protocol (WAP).  Organic farmers can now manage all aspects of their products, from plantings to treatments to certification via the online YFARM.COM application.
